What Does the Scanner Capture – and What Not?
A 3D laser scanner captures everything visible to its sensors, meaning it records surfaces like walls, ceilings, floors, and exposed installations with millimeter precision. However, elements hidden behind walls—like embedded piping, structural rebar, or foundation layouts—are not visible to the scanner.
